Wow, this baby stuff sure changed our lives! I wish someone would have warned us… ☺
So, Ezra’s sleeping a lot still, but is a super happy baby when he’s awake. Everyone says, “What an alert baby you have!” So, obviously he’s a baby genius. After all, who does the best sit-ups and stand-ups in the whole wide world? Ezra Miles! It took seven weeks to get over the initial breast-feeding problems, but we’re cruising along like pros now. I haven’t started back to work and I’m glad. I feel like I’ve finally found the job of my dreams. Ezra is three months old, 13 pounds 12 ounces, and 24½ inches long. You can see by the pictures we’re smitten. Ben just turned 30, and weighs…just kidding.

I just updated some cute stuff of Ezra in the photos page! He is now a 1 MONTH OLD...

11 June 2006 New Posting by Becca:
Hello and welcome to our website! Times are exciting these days for us Wigtons. We are but NINE DAYS away from my due date! We are so thankful for all the marvelous shower gifts we received. I really can’t think of anything else we’re in need of. We’re savoring our last few days of independence and treasuring every kick, hiccup and wiggle our little one silently makes. Here’s a quick update of each of us:
Scout and Atticus are loving the warm weather, but still wear their coats in the air conditioning at home. Atticus has a new job as fetcher of rags and balls when we run them at the airport. He takes great pride in this and seems fulfilled in his new role. Scout doesn’t seem to need to prove anything to anyone, but is still quite skilled at pulling weeds and chasing butterflies. They are both somewhat sensitive to my ever growing bump and try to avoid walking on it. When the bump kicks them, they’re a little confused and look around to see who did it.
Rachel moved in with her father and now lives in Rossville, Georgia.
Jamie just graduated from high school and is working as a nanny locally throughout the summer. August 23rd she moves into her dorm at Malone College a half hour away. We hope she comes home to visit when she can.
Kim is currently working at Burger King and buffing up in hopes to join the Army. She still comes over on Sundays for dinner and to visit.
I am almost done working as an outpatient counselor at Personal and Family Counseling. I hope to return someday to work around 10 hours a week as a contract counselor. Such a great way to keep my foot in the door of my profession and get out of the house a little. I’m feeling pretty good considering, just a bit uncomfortable. Ben has taken excellent care of me, even making rhubarb pie a few times when I’ve asked!
Ben’s busyness at the airport always increases with the good weather and it’s been lovely here. He’s always ready to “take the Fury” when we go somewhere, which is SO FUN! He just finished putting together the last of the baby furniture. Unfortunately, he still gets asked to help me move things around as my nesting instincts are what keeps us busiest.

I've posted new photos in the photo gallery of the baby and Rebecca. We are getting ready for Rebecca's shower on April 30th and then Jamie's graduation party on May 28th. The baby is due June 19th. WOW, WHAT A YEAR!!!!
Rebecca's been getting big and she gets tired very quickly. The baby is a real kicker and puncher. You can see Bec's belly move all the time. We just finished our training at Akron General Medical Center. At our classes, we practiced breathing and birthing techniques...I should be pretty good at them by the time our little bundle is ready to pop out :) We also watched all sorts of great videos of natural and cesarean births, YIKES!
I've been busy at the shop doing lots of Garmin panel installs, and working on the new Cirrus SR22 and Diamond DA-40 integrated avionics systems. Besides that, yard work and getting the house cleaned for all our visitors in the coming weeks keeps me hopping. I still get a little time to ride the dirtbike, do some martial arts, and shoot groundhogs at the airport (over 200 in the past 14 months). What an exciting life I lead....

Boy oh boy, do we have a lot of news to catch you up on! First of all, I’m pregnant! We found out it’s a boy and he’s due to make an appearance on June 19th, 2006 (see the ultrasound pics when you click on the ‘WIGTON’ sign). After the initial shock wore off, Ben joined me in the excitement of this new adventure. His first reaction was to spend four days researching wood and coal burning stoves on Ebay as a new means to heating our home. I think he was thinking of how to provide for six people on just one income. He’s had the ole’ stove up and running for a few months now and it’s definitely been a great and economical way to heat the house (and provided a little escape for Ben in the basement). So, you can account for three of us, but who are the other three? Well, Kim, Jamie and Rachel of course! These three young women have such amazing stories and we’re honored to be part of their lives. Since we’ve started with the youngest, we’ll go to the next youngest and move up.
Rachel
Van Nice, age 16, joined our family on August 20th, 2005. She is a
first cousin to me and was raised by our mutual grandparents in Illinois and
most recently Iowa. Rachel is into East Indian and Asian styles, has an amazing
sensitivity to the needs of animals and is a prolific knitter. With Rachel’s
permission I want to share that shortly after her arrival in Ohio, she admitted
to us that she has been struggling with a serious eating disorder. We got her
into a partial hospitalization program in Cleveland, Ohio. I stopped working and
drove her there every day for six hours of treatment that lasted ten weeks.
Rachel graduated from that program and with God’s grace recognized
that her disorder was severe enough to warrant a higher level of treatment. On
January 31st, ’06, she began a residential program in Wisconsin. It
is highly esteemed for their treatment of eating disorders. Roger’s Memorial
Hospital will be featured on Good Morning America on February 27th,
2006. We are anxious for her return in 1-2 months.
Jamie Van
Nice, age 18, also joined our family on August 20th, 2005. She is
also my cousin and Rachel’s sister. Jamie loves all things purple. She is the
house comedian and has her timing and delivery down perfect. Jamie is
writing her AP English research paper on anorexia. Jamie will graduate from high school this year and plans to attend Malone College
which is
30 minutes away in Canton, Ohio. She will major in nursing (RN) and work in
pediatrics. Currently, she is doing well at school, participates in Key Club
activities and regularly attends youth group with friends.
Kim Garner, age 19, joined our family on
July 5th, 2003. We were her 13th foster home. I use past
tense because we are proud of the fact that Kim has aged out of the system and
is now just a normal member of our family with no children’s services
involvement in her life. Kim is the most out-going member of the family and
never misses an opportunity to have fun. She attends Stark State Community
College in Canton, Ohio. She is doing general studies for now and is unsure
whether she’ll transfer out to a bigger school for her sophomore year or stay
where she is and start a program in Medical Instrument Sterilization Technology. She
very recently moved out to live with a friend, but still comes over weekly to
eat and do laundry like a good college kid.
I (Rebecca) just turned 29 and am loving being pregnant! The baby moves all the time and it brings joy to my heart. I recently began working very part time as an out patient mental health counselor (14 hours a week). I had worked as a Home-Based Counselor at the same agency for the past four years. I enjoy being home more often now and am very eager to meet our little one.
Ben is also 29 and is currently sports a rugged beard and medium long hair. He is still part owner of ProAv Aircraft Services and is Avionics Manager there. He flies every now and again, but mostly orchestrates big avionics jobs and helps manage the airport. In the summer, he has fun trailing our local Appalachian hills on his dirt bike and cruising in the 1967 Plymouth he restored. He’s always working hard taking care of us girls.
Have fun browsing our pictures and please contact us so we can keep in touch with you
1-1-2006 At long last a flippin' update gets posted! So much has changed at the Wigton household these last 3 years (since my last update)! Give ol' Ben a break he's been busy....
OK So here's the story... A few years back Rebecca and I decided to become licensed foster parents and take in teenage girls on a temporary basis (weekends, emergencies, etc.) Then after a year of that we decided to have one of the girls (Kim) stay with us. After some ups and downs in her life, Kim has graduated from high school in Spring 2005 and is now beginning her second semester at Stark State College. She is getting ready to move into her own apartment soon too!
NO WAIT! There's more did I mention that we have 2 hairless terriers??? See our photo page for more...
YEAH!!! But there's even more.... Then we went on a sailing trip in the Puget Sound and Pacific Ocean you can see some of that stuff in the photo section.
Then we had Jamie and Rachel (Bec's cousins) some live with us in August '05.
Make sure to see the photos of Jamie and Rachel at the ol' photo page.
Next, we went on a fabulous trip to visit Bec's parents (who are now living in Germany) with our good friends Matt and Audrey O'Brien. See these salacious photos here.
Finnally, Rebecca is pregnant with a wee little Wigton...we'll keep you updated with all the news that is news!

1-17-03 New Pictures Posted. All is well with the Wigton's as we wait out the boring, dark, cold Ohio winter blahs.
Now the Bolivia Pictures are up! As well as some other fun stuff! I'm sure you noticed the new title page. We must give thanks to Viva Voce's webpage for most of the inspiration. Ben is just an HTML hack, not a creator. See below picture for actual photo :)
9-25-02 New Pictures Posted. (Ben's Birthday)
9-9-02 New Pictures Posted...OK, OK! No, the pictures from Bolivia aren't up yet, but will be soon (Ben just needs a patch cable for the scanner). However there are new pictures of Jenna, the new dirtbike, and Grandma & Grandpa Harris' 50th anniversary extravaganza.
What's new with the Wigton's, you may be asking yourself. Well, we recently got back from a blitz weekend in Iowa to pick up a pump organ that Rebecca inherited from her Great Grandmother Grosvenor. We also visited Cedar Rapids (which will now be referred to as LeTourneau II) and saw so many of our friends that work at Rockwell/Collins. We had a great time and got back safely.
Come on over and see the new pump organ!!!
7-3-02 New Pictures Added to the Photo Gallery!!

This is just a
quick update for everyone. Ben is back from Bolivia and can now be called
!!!!
On June 25th, Jenna Marie Wigton was born to my brother Andy and his wife Missy. Jenna is a cutie and we promise to "deliver" some pictures of her and Ben's safari in Bolivia soon. P.S., yes, Ben did catch a nice little intestinal bacterium, but more on that whole ordeal later.
5-19-02 Ben is going to Bolivia! On May 27th Ben will be flying to Miami where he'll meet up with Ben and Rebekah Gambrell (fellow LeTourneau-ites) and then on to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. "What," you say, "could Bolivia possibly need from Ben?" Well, we will be installing a GPS/ COM Radio, an ADF, and a High Frequency COM, in a Cessna 206 for South American Missions. The Gambrell's will soon be serving as full time missionaries for SAM, and will eventually be in Costa Rica.
Don't you worry your little head none. There will be plenty of pictures when Ben gets back on June 6th. Here's to hoping Ben doesn't ingest any of those tiny little intestinal bacterium!
3-17-02 New pictures added
3-14-02 Well, enough of my annoying, yet remarkably fashionable, sardonic wit from the last entry. Let's get down to some of the real issues at hand:
Rebecca is finding her new job as Home-based Counselor at Personal and Family Counseling Services challenging. She visits homes on parental/guardian request or court mandate to intensively counsel a child (and family sometimes, if needed) for 3 months of therapy. She has a great compassion for these children, but it can be difficult sometimes.
Ben continues to co-host RockRadio on Sundays from 8-10pm on 95.9FM, WNPQ. He helps bring modern rock music to the needy. (You can visit RockRadio's website from the links page). If you want to know what Ben is doing professionally these days, see the previous entry below. With the weather getting warm, Ben plans on doing copious amounts of dirt bike riding (pictures coming soon).
3-9-02What a year 2001 has been! In June we sold our sleepy old house on 141 North Avenue NE and moved into our dream house at 202 Fair Ave NW. Then, Rebecca graduated from Walsh University with a Masters Degree in Counseling. This year, Ben became a junior partner in ProAv Aircraft Services Ltd.. After getting the Avionics Repair Bench up and certified by the FAA, he became, ****gasp**** "UPPER MANAGEMENT!" Now, despair not, ye blue collar working classes. Wait before you cast aspersions on us like, "Yuppies," "Educated Idiots," or "White Oppressors," until you come and sit at our table, sup with us, and realize that we are just very shallow.
My, my, what with Ben's hair growing out like a hop head hippie and Rebecca attending things like The International Light Conference, one wonders what kind of trouble they are headed for. Heavens!
